BOLTS WILLIAM. Considerations on India Affairs; Particularly Respecting the Present State of Bengal & Its Dependencies. Half title. Large fldg. eng. map. 165pp. Quarto. Old calf, gilt back with morocco spine labels. 1772. The author was a servant of the East India Company but critical thereof particularly in regard to the recent famine. He was dismissed and later deported from the country. He appears to be one of the first authors to use Bengali type.
