1902 Ibrox Park disaster, a Scotland vs England International football match day ticket, Saturday 5th April 1902, Block H Row 5 Seat 227 as issued by Rangers Football Club Limited.

This match was the final game of the 1901-2 British Home Championship. Scotland went into the match as favourites having beaten Wales and Ireland by 5 goals to 1 each. England struggled in their opening game and drew 0-0 with Wales and narrowly beat Ireland 1-0. The winners of this match would be the Champions. Six minutes into the game at Ibrox Park, a section of the West Tribune stand collapsed injuring over 500 spectators and claimed 25 lives. It is believed that the attendance was in the region of 68,000 with around half that number in the West Tribune stand. The match was temporarily postponed whist police and stewards attended to the injured. However, play was resumed against many of the players wishes and the match was then abandoned at the 51-minute mark with the score at 1-1. After the match, Scotland's and England's Football Associations decided to void the result and the match was replayed nearly a month later on the 3rd May 1902. The rematch was played at Villa Park Birmingham in front of an attendance of 15,000 with the proceeds of this match being donated to the Disaster Fund for the affected victims of the stand collapse. The result was 2-2 meaning that Scotland were crowned champions.
