Four-piece silver tea set of ovoid shape embossed with the signs of the zodiac and bands of scrolls, maker probably James Ross, Glasgow 1874, 2,043g or 65½oz.

Monogrammed to the plain cartouche on four pieces. There are ivory mounts to both handles. There is age-related staining to all four pieces. There is a bash/dent to the lower part of the water pot. The covers on the teapot and water pot open and close freely. There is later alteration/repair to the lower interior of the water pot (circular band). There is a soldered area to the interior of the teapot and a repair to the base of the teapot. There are age-related surface marks and staining to all four pieces.
