Dutch Klewang naval type short sword, the curving fullered blade with ricasso stamped 'Hembrug', wooden grip with basket style guard, the interior with plaque '1-3 Inf Dep 139', blade length 61cm, sword length 74cm, with brown leather scabbard.
Provenance Brigadier Cornelius Joseph Tobin CBE of the 3rd/2nd Punjab Regiment Indian Army Ordnance Corps (1910-1998).
