Japanese katana sword having curving 70cm long blade, the blade numbered '61278', pierced bronze tsuba, the tang not accessible, white metal grip, sword length 92cm, with scabbard.
Provenance Brigadier Cornelius Joseph Tobin CBE of the 3rd/2nd Punjab Regiment Indian Army Ordnance Corps (1910-1998).
