Attributed to William James Hubard (1807-1862) Regency cut silhouette portrait depicting James Smith of Jordanhill, within an ormolu oval mount, gilt motif and ring handle, 6.5cm x 7.5cm, framed in an ebonised slip, Label to verso dated January 1824, and another 19th century silhouette portrait depicting a soldier of the London Scottish Regiment, 35cm x 13.5cm, stamp to lower right of the obverse for Handrup D Hevans, Oxford St, London, label verso, 'Uncle Archie', framed and glazed.  (2) 'James Smith of Jordanhill FRSE FRS MWS (1782–1867) was a Scottish merchant, antiquarian, architect, geologist, biblical critic and man of letters'
