British 1796 pattern heavy cavalry trooper’s sword, the blade spine stamped indistinctly, probably for Reddell and Bate, having wide fullered blade, pierced steel guard stamped ‘6 D G’ for the 6th Dragoon Guards, wood grip with D langets, no scabbard, blade length 88cm, sword length 103cm.
