18th century French fan decorated with mythical gods and figures within foliage, gilt border to the paper fan, above gilded and floral panels to the folding mother of pearl sticks, 36.5cm wide, enclosed in a later Japanese-style lacquered box.

One stick needing re-affixed. The box is lacquer-based, not signed. There are age-related stains and surface scratches to the box.
