Oak open library bookcase, c.1870's, in the manner of Philip Webb, the moulded pediment above three tiers of adjustable shelves, on bench base with brackets and fret ends, 203cm high, 310cm wide, 42cm deep. Prov: Howard family, 9th Earl of Carlisle, Naworth Castle and by descent.

Top plinth and bottom stand full length. Shelves in three sections (with removable shelves). 42cm is depth of base section. shelves are 30cm deep.
