Meissen painted porcelain model of a pigeon (taube) of large form, c. early part of 20th century, glazed in rich colours, red and green to the plumage, violet, black and white feathers, pink feet, on majolica-coloured naturalistic stand, letter G with blue crossed sword device mark to the underside, 21cm high.

Age-related losses to the stand. Lacking a segment of the glaze to the beak. Chip to the beak. Minor chips to the glaze at the end of the table. Minor nibbles to the wings. Lacking pieces to the left foot. Three in total with repair to the same foot. Minor chips to the glaze on the other foot. A few cracks to the rim of the underside. Minor age-related staining all over. Good colour patina.
