Early Victorian Irish needlework sampler by Mary Harper of Ballyduff (Ireland) aged 13 dated 9th June 1844, having upper and lower case alphabet, depiction of apple tree, birds, urn of flowers, farmhouse, farm animals, tree, insects etc. and the verse 'My sister has died in the bloom In the beauty and joy of her youth And her heart has gone down to the tomb Endeared by affection and truth Ye parents who joyd at her birth Submit to your Saviours decree Who gave her and took her away For her spirit O Lord is with thee', 40cm x 52cm.
