Chinese underglaze blue bowl and cover, with handles from a dragons head, decorated with panels of rocks and flowering plants, separated by bands of trellis diaper, cover to match, diameter 15cm (firing damage) Provenance: No.76 The Leonard Gow Collection, illustrated on page 21, and then by decent to current owners Sold along with a copy of The Leonard Gow Collection of Chinese porcelain, by R L Hobson C.B., No. 144 of 300 copies, printed by George W Jones, London 1931.

The bowl and cover are in excellent condition throughout. However, the bowl has four firing cracks open and visible to the interior, two at each handle. In addition to this there is a large firing fault to the underside just above to the underside just above the foot.
