Medal of 3128 Private M Brown of the 93rd (Sutherland Highlanders) Regiment of Foot comprising a Crimea medal 1854 with three clasps 'SEBASTOPOL', 'BALAKLAVA' and 'ALMA' [3128 PTE M BROWN 93RD RGT].
On 25 October 1854 during the Battle of Balaklava approximately 500 men of the 93rd Regiment of Foot fired at the Russian cavalry, the episode was immortalised as “The Thin Red Line".
